Wk. 30: My Blog & Books Have Moved!
I am moving through my technology-related resistances and challenges today to in order to anchor my blog within my website. This is no small thing! As with most new technological experiments and ventures into new territory, I have not a clue as to how this all works with this web hosting service, BUT, as Ms. Celie says in The Color Purple, "I'm here."
Now what? This doesn't look like the template I selected.
Keep typing. Stay focused.
If you're new to my blog, I am attempting to track and share my creative process by being consistent with posting a new book for each week of this year. I made the above accordion pop-up book during that stretch of creating 146 books & bards (book cards) between weeks 19 -29. (I need to figure out how to upload my old blog site posts here, so that anyone new to the blog can follow this year's new books.)
Although I initially thought of selling it, I have since grown to love it enough to keep. Maybe. I especially love the way this book feels in my hands. A little smaller than most of my mixed media accordion books, this one, titled "Pink," is 3.75 x 2.25 in. folded size; 3.75 x 17 in. unfolded with 14 panels and two hard covers, and mini prints of some original art. Thanks to Jen Allen, Yoga instructor and awesome photographer for capturing the essence of this bard.
